In addition, forged steel balls must use the most wear-resistant materials, such as the national standards of 60Mn, 65Mn or the highly efficient wear-resistant alloy steel materials independently developed by certain companies. Moreover, it is recommended that the steel produced by national super-large steel mills are the same material, and the quality produced by different steel mills is also different. 80% of the mass of the forging depends on the quality of the material. If high manganese steel is used, it has good impact resistance, strength and toughness, good wear resistance and is not prone to breaking.

Forged steel balls are cheap, economical and durable, so they are favored by most users. For example, international mining giants Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton and Angulu gold all use forged steel balls.
